Ambon Damsel

Pomacentrus amboinensis

Variable colouration. Usually bright base with pale, somewhat wavy-yellowish or blue-greenish transverse lines. Cheeks and snout with very pale light blue markings. Juveniles with eyespot in back of the dorsal fin.

Size : 10 cm

Habitat : Prefers protected reefs with coral-sand mixed zones, 2-40 m.

Distribution : Andaman Sea to SW Japan, Micronesia and Fiji.
