Ostracion meleagris

Female: Dark brown with white spots. Male: back blackish with white spots, side blue with yellow spots.

Size : 16 cm

Habitat : In clear lagoons and outreefs, usually in protected areas, 1-30 m. Feeds on various small invertebrates, sea squirts and sponges.

Distribution : East Africa to S Japan, Hawaii, Galapagos, Mexico and French Polynesia.
