In adults, the snout is rounded and arched forward like a nose; juveniles with smaller bulge on the snout.

Size : 35 cm

Habitat : Lives near coral rubble and sand surfaces in deep lagoons and protected areas of outreefs, 3-40 regions, feeds on small bottom-dwelling invertebrates.

Distribution : East Africa to S Japan, Palau and NW and North Australia.
