Vindula erota

Description

Vindula erota has yellowish brown upperwings, the base and crest of the forewings and a third of the hind tips are darker. There is a transverse black line and a series of curved black spots at the postdiscal. The underside of the underside is pinkish on the basal half of both wings with a dark line across the median and a reddish stripe on the outside, on the hind wing there is an ocellus. Females have lower wings that are paler and browner than males.
