Pareronia valeria

Description

Pareronia valeria is medium in size, has a pale blue forewing with black veins / stripes. The ribs, apex and terminal edge are black crossed by a series of transverse blueish white spots under the surface of varying numbers. The underside of the wings is pale blue, the terminal edges of the wings are faintly fused, crossed by a series of transverse whitish lunar spots. Female Pareronia valeria has black upper wings with bluish white markings, the underside is similar to the upper side but the basic color is dull, blackish. The apical area of the forewings is covered in white powder.
